Incoloy 825 is a nickel-chromium-iron alloy with additions of molybdenum, copper, and titanium. It has a composition of about 38-46% nickel, 19.5-23.5% iron, 22% chromium, 3% molybdenum, and 2% copper. It offers superior resistance to acid attack, stress corrosion cracking, and pitting. Mechanical properties are a tensile strength of 586 MPa, yield strength of 221 MPa, and elongation of 30%. The alloy is stable in both oxidizing and reducing conditions, and hence it suits very aggressive industrial environments.
